The south west London neighbourhood of Coombe, part of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, is one of the more affluent locales in the area, and many regard its residential options as being among the most desirable in London. Most of its available area has been devoted to Coombe Wood and Coombe Hill, its two golf courses, and the three privately-owned estates that are almost proudly situated partly on private roads. One of the neighbourhoods main points of interest is Miramonte, a flat-roofed, L-shaped building seemingly comprising alternating horizontal bands of glass and white concrete that is one of several grade II listed buildings in the area. Transport links to Coombe include the Norbiton and New Malden stations on the overground system, while Transport for London bus routes 405 and 265 serve Coombe Road and Coombe Lane West, respectively.
