Recycling in the borough is split up between the four Estates Barbican Golden Lane Mansell St and Middlesex St all have their own recycling systems in place for residents. In Barbican most mixed recycling small electrical items and textiles can be taken to one of four car parks, while on the Golden Lane estate, a mini recycling site is available under Great Arthur house. The Mansell St estate recycling bins are situated outside Guinness court, And the Middlesex St estate micro recycling centre situated in the car park. Each estate also has a map of recycling locations available to download from the council website.

Residents can also access food waste bins at the micro recycling centres which are green with a food recycling symbol. Small electrical items can be placed in pink recycling bins and include items such as irons table lamps, CD players and mobile phones.
