3. Shredding and fraction segregation
The fridge is then moved through a conveyor belt to be shredded from a whole unit too small manageable piece.
Stage 2 (degassing) and stage 3 (shredding and fraction segregation) are both completed within an inert Nitrogen Atmosphere, which provides a safe processing environment.

4. Sieving
The next step is finely sieving the materials to remove the polyurethane (PUR) foam.

5. Magnetic separation
The materials that have been shredded then pass under a magnet to further separates these materials.

6. Eddy current separation or air separator
The materials that remain after magnetic separation are passed through an eddy current separator and air separator.
