Euston Road is a major thoroughfare in central London whose length traverses the area between King’s Cross and Marylebone Road. It was one of the original routes improved to form what is now the London Inner Ring Road, which eventually led to the construction of the Euston Tower. The road is (and has been) home to a number of notable buildings, including the British Library, New Hospital for Women, the Wellcome Trust and its extensive library, St Pancras New Church, and the St. Pancras Renaissance London Hotel. Euston Road is also known for its underpass, which was originally built to avoid its heavily-bombed junction with Tottenham Court Road, and has remained in place despite plans to remove it once the area above ground had been rebuilt.
