Located roughly 7.4 km north of Charing Cross and within the London Borough of Haringey, Crouch End covers an area in north London that sits between Harringay and Highgate. Originally a settlement established at the intersection of four major thoroughfares, Crouch End has come to be known as one of the wealthier districts in the region, which has resulted in the opening of a large number of more upscale dining establishments and shops. While not exactly isolated from the London Underground, Crouch End is not as easily accessible via the underground system as other localities in the region. The Hornsey and Harringay railway stations, on the other hand, are relatively close, and the district is also served by a handful of London Bus routes.
