IG7 is one of the districts in the Ilford postcode area and it covers Chigwell and Chigwell Row in Epping Forest and the northern half of Hainault in the London Borough of Redbridge. Despite much of the area being considered a wealthy neighbourhood characterised by large suburban houses, the region’s roots are very much evident in its eastern section, which remains densely forested and is still largely rural. Notable landmarks include St. Mary’s Church, the Limes Farm estate, where Tottenham Hotspur runs football training sessions for the local youth in the summer, A David Lloyd Leisure Centre just off Roding Road, a Topgolf Centre, and the Chigwell Golf and Cricket Clubs, while two Local Nature Reserves at Roding valley Meadows and Chigwell Row Wood provide a welcome break from the more developed residential sections in the area. IG7 is served by a wealth of transport options, including multiple London bus routes and London Underground stations in Chigwell, Grange Hill, and Hainault.
