N18 is the postcode used by the Upper Edmonton district in north London, which covers the southern section of Edmonton in the London Borough of Enfield. Like neighbouring Tottenham, Upper Edmonton is home to a multicultural population. Massive development projects, with the goal of providing N18’s community with access to more commercial establishments and public facilities were initiated by the government during the early 21st century, but the shopping area located between Lower Edmonton and Tottenham, often called “The Angel” due to its location being previously occupied by a public house of the same name, remains the region’s main commercial hub. Angel Place, one of the district’s main landmarks, sits adjacent to the shopping centre and features a series of linked grade II* listed buildings. For transport, Upper Edmonton has access to most of the same options serving the rest of the Edmonton district, including an extensive array of bus routes and multiple railway stations, of which Silver Street and Angel Road are the most accessible.
