Sewardstone is a small locality in Waltham Abbey and within Essex’s Epping Forest district. It is not technically part of Greater London but still included in the London commuter belt, mainly due to its location adjacent to Chingford and its railway station. Sewardstone mainly still comprises open spaces and farms, but there are also a number of highly desirable residential properties in the area as well as a collection of nurseries to the north. Most of the commercial establishments in the hamlet are located along Sewardstone Road, which connects it to Chingford, and include a handful of retail shops as well as several pubs and restaurants, while the parks and camping grounds in the area offer ample opportunity for all the usual outdoor activities.
