The E10 district in the Eastern postcode area mainly covers the district of Leyton within the London Borough of Waltham Forest, but also includes Temple Mills in Newham, as well as parts of Hackney, Upper Clapton, and Walthamstow. Both of the district’s main localities are predominantly residential, with most modern residential properties having been built as part of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The two main commercial centres within E10 itself are located at opposite ends of The Leyton High Road, with the Leyton Mills retail park sitting adjacent to the tube station, near its border with Temple Mills and Baker’s Arms and its parades of shops occupying the northernmost stretch of the High Road and a significant section of Lea Bridge Road.
