Winchmore Hill is a north London suburb in the London Borough of Enfield that is located approximately 14.3 km north-east of Charing Cross and centred around one of the main conservation areas in the region. The district is considered one of the more affluent neighbourhoods in Greater London and has its own ‘millionaire’s row,’ which has been called home by many a rich and famous personality. It’s most prominent feature, however, is Winchmore Hill Green, a public green space encircled by a large number of shops and dining establishments. A generous selection of sports facilities are also available at the local sports club. The Winchmore Hill railway station serves as the district’s main access point for the overground system, but the Grange Park and Palmer’s Green stations are reasonably close as well. London Underground access, on the other hand, is largely limited to the Southgate tube station, which is located at the end of Winchmore Hill Road, to the east.
