One of the areas in the region of north London, Barnsbury occupies the space between Holloway and King’s Cross within the London Borough of Islington. it’s modern rejuvenation started towards the end of the 20th century, when much of the Islington region once again became an attractive proposition for the middle classes. Newly-built homes and restored properties attracted many young professionals, including a significant number of writers and journalists, resulting in the area eventually becoming home to a variety of more high-end shops and dining establishments and transforming into one of the more “expensive” localities in London. Much of Barnsbury’s modern-day appeal is also owed to its convenient transport links, which include its own railway station, the Caledonian Road and Angel tube stations, and the Highbury and Islington interchange, in addition to a wide selection of Transport for London bus routes.
