Neasden is a suburb of northwest London, within the London Borough of Brent. The area, which remained largely rural well into the late 19th century, started becoming more populated following the opening of the Dudding Hill and Neasden railway stations. It was the North Circular that played the biggest role in the district’s development, however, as its completion paved the way for the construction of additional residential properties, many of which were of the more affordable sort, and the opening of more modern commercial establishments. Neasden’s Shopping Centre was also redeveloped early in the 21st century to bring in additional business for its independent shops. The area’s main transport link is its own railway station, which is on the Jubilee line, but the Hendon and Stonebridge Park stations are reasonably close as well, particularly for addresses towards the north and south ends of the district, respectively.
