In this instance it is the overall responsibility of BR1’s councils or boroughs to carry out the waste clearances and treatment properly.
2. Business waste is classified as any type of waste generated from a waste clearance of a commercial activity. Which 365 active businesses in BR1 produces 23,370 tonnes of commercial waste and 4,844 tonnes of hazardous waste. It is the responsibility of the business that has produced it to perform proper waste clearance and waste treatment.
