1. Household waste comes from residential properties. Which CR5 produces 5,991 tonnes of domestic waste and only recycles 49.50%, this means 6,112 is sent to landfill each year. In this instance it is the overall responsibility of CR5’s councils or boroughs to carry out the waste clearances and treatment properly.
2. Business waste is classified as any type of waste generated from a waste clearance of a commercial activity. Which 195 active businesses in CR5 produces 11,974 tonnes of commercial waste and 2,482 tonnes of hazardous waste. It is the responsibility of the business that has produced it to perform proper waste clearance and waste treatment.
