1. Household waste comes from residential properties. Which RM13 produces 4,676 tonnes of domestic waste and only recycles 38.56%, this means 7,450 is sent to landfill each year. In this instance it is the overall responsibility of RM13’s councils or boroughs to carry out the waste clearances and treatment properly.
2. Business waste is classified as any type of waste generated from a waste clearance of a commercial activity. Which 138 active businesses in RM13 produces 11,997 tonnes of commercial waste and 2,486 tonnes of hazardous waste. It is the responsibility of the business that has produced it to perform proper waste clearance and waste treatment.
