1. Household waste comes from residential properties. Which RM16 produces 6,652 tonnes of domestic waste and only recycles 38.56%, this means 10,599 is sent to landfill each year. In this instance it is the overall responsibility of RM16’s councils or boroughs to carry out the waste clearances and treatment properly.
2. Business waste is classified as any type of waste generated from a waste clearance of a commercial activity. Which 51 active businesses in RM16 produces 17,066 tonnes of commercial waste and 3,537 tonnes of hazardous waste. It is the responsibility of the business that has produced it to perform proper waste clearance and waste treatment.
