ELWA (East London Waste Authority) has been set up between Redbridge, Havering, Barking & Dagenham and Newham to deal with waste more efficiently in East London along with the waste contractor Havering Recycling Service they achieve a recycling rate of 0.3856, which is low when comparing it with other areas in Europe, 60%+ should be achievable. We send 0.6144 of waste to landfill which needs to change

It is the responsibility of the business that has produced it to perform proper waste clearance and waste treatment.
